At the 2025 Annual Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited and eHealth Africa unveiled RxBook — an AI-powered digital platform designed to give pharmacists instant access to Nigeria’s essential medicines list and drug information, in real time.

A wave of excitement swept through the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria’s 2025 Annual Conference as Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited and eHealth Africa (eHA) formally introduced the RxBook — The Smart Medicine Guide, a cutting-edge solution aimed at transforming access to pharmaceutical information nationwide.

The launch, which took place on Day 2 of the conference, drew a large audience of pharmacists, fellows, and healthcare professionals. The session was led by Pharm. Ahmed I. Yakasai, mni, FPSN, Founder and CEO of Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited and former President of the PSN, alongside AbdulKareem Iyamu, Vice President, Business Development at EHA Clinics.

“RxBook is a bold step toward smarter, safer, and more efficient pharmacy practice in Nigeria,” said Pharm. Yakasai during the presentation. “We want every pharmacist to have access to updated, reliable information right at their fingertips.”

Developed through a collaboration between Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited, eHealth Africa, and EHA Clinics, RxBook integrates artificial intelligence to deliver accurate, regulatory-compliant pharmaceutical data in real time. The platform provides a seamless interface that empowers healthcare professionals to make evidence-based decisions quickly, helping reduce medication errors and improve patient outcomes.

One of the most anticipated features of RxBook is its WhatsApp integration, allowing users to search and retrieve medicine information directly through the messaging app. This functionality, designed to fit naturally into pharmacists’ daily workflow, drew particular praise from young practitioners and tech-savvy professionals at the event.

The enthusiasm that followed the presentation underscored the profession’s readiness to embrace digital transformation. Many participants described RxBook as a “long-awaited innovation” that bridges the gap between drug regulation, technology, and everyday clinical practice.

Closing the session, Pharm. Yakasai invited pharmacists across Nigeria to join the RxBook waiting list, announcing a six-month free access period at launch for early adopters. The initiative aims to encourage nationwide participation and feedback from frontline professionals.
