Personal Background


Q-1. Can you tell us your name and what inspired you to study pharmacy  ?


Ans- My name is Adamu Sulaiman Adamu.

My passion for learning more about drugs and my desire to serve my community inspired me to study pharmacy.


Q-2. Where are you from, and how has that shaped who you are?


Ans- I am from Dorayi Karama, Gwale Local Government Area, Kano State.


Q-3. Mr President, do you have a crush in the faculty? If yes who ?


Ans- Her name  A**** from 200 Level.



Academic Life


Q1.What has your experience been like as a student in this faculty?


Ans- My experience as a pharmacy student cannot be summed up in one word. It has been a blend of good memories, making new friends and connections, learning a great deal, facing struggles, and even some not-so-good moments.


Q-2. What area of pharmacy interests you the most?

Ans- I am most passionate about Industrial Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy.


Q-3.How do you balance academics with leadership responsibilities?


Ans-  It’s all about good timing and proper scheduling. Excelling academically is my utmost priority, but my leadership responsibilities are equally important. I strive to perform my duties as President while also focusing on my academics and other personal activities.



Leadership Role



Q1. What motivated you to run for faculty president?


Ans- My motivation came from a deep desire to serve, inspire, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of pharmacy students at BUK. I felt a strong sense of responsibility to step up and bring ideas to life.


Q2. What are your main goals as the president?


Ans- My main vision as President is to make PANS-BUK a more inclusive, innovative, and impactful association—one that supports academic excellence, student welfare, and professional growth through meaningful events and programs.


Q3. What challenges have you faced in this role, and how did you handle them?


Ans-  I have faced challenges such as limited funding, time constraints, and balancing academics with leadership responsibilities. I overcame them through strategic planning, strong delegation, open communication, and resourceful partnerships. I am also fortunate to have a grounded and vibrant team of EXCOs who ensure we remain focused and support one another.



Vision and Impact


Q1.How do you hope to make a difference in the faculty?


Ans- I plan to build a more united PANS-BUK by encouraging interaction across all levels through mentorship pairings, joint academic programs, and inter-level social events. These will be structured to promote teamwork and bonding between juniors and seniors, with the goal of creating a family-like atmosphere where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.


Q2.What values do you try to lead with?


Ans- I believe in clear communication, mutual respect, shared responsibilities, accountability, and transparent delegation of duties.


Q3. How do you engage with and support other students ?


Ans-  I actively listen to members’ concerns, observations, and contributions, and take the most appropriate actions. I also engage them in committees so they can learn, participate, and share their experiences.



Personal Side


Q1. What do you enjoy doing outside academics?


Ans- I enjoy sporting activities and photography.


Q2. Who inspires you and why?


Ans- I am always inspired when I see someone succeed, especially in the field of pharmacy. However, my ultimate inspiration is my father.


Q3. What’s one fun or unexpected fact about you?


Ans- I am usually shy when meeting someone for the first time, but once I am comfortable, that shyness fades away.



Future Plans


Q1. What are your plans after graduation?: 


Ans- I intend to explore more of the business and administrative aspects of pharmacy.


Q2.Where do you see yourself in 5–10 years?


Ans- I see myself either practicing abroad or managing my own pharmacy business.
