Q1: Can you tell us a bit about your self and when you started studying in pharmacy school?
Ans: My name is Isa Aminu Hashim, I’m the Founder of Rxrelated Company Limited and a final-year pharmacy student with a strong passion not just for healthcare, but also for creativity, communication, and innovation. I started pharmacy school in 2018, and along the way, I’ve grown deeply interested in how digital platforms can be used to solve real-world problems in the healthcare space. I’m passionate about design, media, and public health education.
Q2: What inspired you to found the platform RXrelated and what problem does this platform aim to solve?
Ans: RXRelated was born out of a genuine need I noticed during my time in pharmacy school. I realized that a lot of students and even the general public struggled to access simplified, reliable, and relatable health information. RXRelated aims to bridge that gap by offering clear, engaging, and practical health content, especially from the perspective of pharmacy students who are close to the grassroots realities. It’s also a platform to spotlight the role of pharmacy in public health, and give young professionals a voice.
Q3:What are the useful tips that help you find balance between pharmacy school and your creative pursuits?
Ans: Honestly, I don’t always have a fixed structure sometimes I just go with the flow. What’s helped me most is staying deeply connected to the things I enjoy. Whenever I feel overwhelmed with school, I use creativity as an outlet. It could be working on RXRelated, designing something, or even just brainstorming ideas. I’ve learned to trust my rhythm. Some days are for studying, others are for building and that’s okay. I don’t force balance; I find it in doing what feels right at the time, as long as I stay consistent in both areas.
Q4:How did your work outside the classroom influence your role in pharmacy as a career?
Ans: Working outside the classroom has shown me that pharmacy goes far beyond dispensing medicines. It’s about communication, impact, and problem-solving. Creating platforms like RXRelated helped me build soft skills like leadership, digital literacy, and content strategy all of which are essential in modern healthcare. It also made me more aware of the gaps in public health education and the potential role of pharmacists in closing them.
Q5: What advice would you give students who wants to explore their hidden talents while in school?
Ans: Explore your talents, absolutely, but never forget that what brought us to school in the first place is to study. That must always come first. It’s easy to get carried away with creative pursuits, especially when they start gaining attention, but discipline is key. Use your free time wisely. Find moments to develop your interests, but don’t let them distract you from your primary goal which is graduating. If you can strike that balance, your talents and your degree will both open doors for you.

His journey highlights the power of student led innovation in healthcare and reminds us that meaningful change often starts with one bold idea. As he continues to grow the platform, his vision remains clear to educate, connect, and uplift through the power of storytelling and community.
