On Monday 14th April, 2025. I had the privilege of visiting Pharm. Aminu Bashir, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Kano State, and the first pharmacist to ever hold this esteemed position in the state. The purpose of the visit was to personally deliver an official invitation to him for the upcoming PANS National Symposium, which marks the Golden Jubilee celebration of our association.


The meeting was both insightful and inspiring, as we discussed various topics concerning the future of pharmacy students and the overall advancement of the pharmacy profession in Nigeria. Pharm. Bashir provided valuable advice, encouragement, and a vision for a progressive and remarkable administration, urging us to focus on positive change and sustainable development.


His counsel was a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration, commitment, and dedication within the pharmacy profession. He stressed that this occasion should not only celebrate our past but also pave the way for stronger alliances and collective efforts toward the future of pharmacy.


Pharm. Bashir's leadership, wisdom, and call to action were truly motivating, and his words will undoubtedly guide us as we continue to push for a more impactful and transformative presence within the profession.


This visit was a pivotal moment in the journey toward realizing the goals of the PANS National Symposium, and it reaffirmed our commitment to advancing the pharmacy profession with integrity and vision.


I am deeply grateful for his time, insight, and unwavering support for the work we do, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate further in the future.
