The 2025 PSN Annual Conference commenced with elegance and energy, marking a vibrant opening day that celebrated professionalism, wellness, and unity within the Nigerian pharmacy community.

The 1st PSN Presidential Golf Tournament

The 2025 PSN Annual Conference began on a distinguished note with the maiden PSN Presidential Golf Tournament. The symbolic tee-off ceremony was performed by an array of distinguished guests, including the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, the President of the African Bar Association, the Executive Governor of Kano State, The Kachallan Kano, Dr. Muhammad Zango (the host), the Captains of the Kaduna and Kano Golf Clubs, the President of the Board of Fellows (BOF-PSN), and other eminent elders and dignitaries of the profession.

The tournament provided a refreshing avenue for interaction and networking among professionals and leaders across various sectors. It also served as a unique opportunity to strengthen partnerships and exchange ideas aimed at advancing pharmacy practice and healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

Health Awareness Walk

The day’s second event featured a vibrant Health Awareness Walk that transformed the streets of Kano into a parade of energy, color, and advocacy. Over 2,000 pharmacists, clad in bright orange shirts and caps, walked from Bristol Palace to the Coronation Hall in the Kano State Government House.

The exercise underscored pharmacists’ unwavering commitment to promoting wellness and preventive health within the community. The walk concluded with an engaging cocktail session where participants relaxed, networked, and celebrated the spirit of unity and professionalism that defines the PSN.

“The Health Walk was more than a fitness activity — it was a statement of purpose, a reflection of pharmacists’ role as agents of wellness in every community.”
